Rick Browne, the Guru of Barbecue and host of the highly successful Barbecue America public television series is once again moving from the backyard barbeque, to GRILLIN’ WILD, a cooking show for hunters and fishermen, which Rick created and hosts.
A two-year hiatus took Rick and his crew from the woods to the world as he traveled to 26 countries to film his PBS barbecue series and author a cookbook featuring his travels and barbecue/grilling recipes from those countries.
Now Rick is coming back with 13 episodes of GRILLIN’ WILD, episodes which will find the savvy chef and his Co-host Britney Ruby-Miller encamped at a world-class Rocky Mountain hunting lodge in the heart of Colorado, ready to cook up wild game, game birds and waterfowl, and fresh and salt water fish.
The chefs will share their wonderful recipes, delightful cooking tips, and the menu suggestions they've collected on travels worldwide.
Browne, who has authored seven very popular outdoor grilling/barbecue cookbooks, a deep frying cookbook, and many food-related articles and blogs for magazines and websites, is also currently putting the finishing touches on the companion GRILLIN’ WILD cookbook, which will feature recipes he’s gathered from chefs at hunting and fishing resorts and lodges, restaurants that feature wild game, and from sporting men and women he’s met in his travels.
The recipes and outdoor sporting tips for each episode will feature information on specific species and will also include suggested appetizers, side dishes, and desserts appropriate to that episode’s game-fowl-fish recipes.
